What is a Regional Water Authority fee?2019-08-28T20:47:56+00:00

Water districts in the Gulf Coast Region are mandated by the State to have a Groundwater Reduction Plan. Many water districts join regional water authorities which are responsible for implementing the Groundwater Reduction Plan to reduce the use of ground water by converting to surface water. The costs associated with building and maintaining the surface water infrastructure are passed on to customers. Your Regional Water Authority fee is charged per 1,000 gallons of water used, as reflected on the front of this statement

Why does my bill increase so much during the summer months?2019-08-28T20:48:01+00:00
  • Higher usage = higher bill
  • Irrigation is the #1 reason usage increases during summer heat
    1. Irrigate grass and landscaping no more than TWICE per week. Most of us overwater.
    2. Adjust sprinkler heads so that you water grass, not the concrete.
    3. Upgrade to water conserving nozzles.
    4. Convert to drip irrigation for flowerbeds.
    5. Maintain your irrigation system by repairing leaks and knowing how to program the system.
  • The more water you use, the higher the amount billed for the Regional Water Authority Fee.
Why does my bill show a past due amount?2019-08-28T20:48:06+00:00

Payments not received by the due date are considered delinquent.

If you believe you have received a delinquent notice in error, please contact us.
